The 2014 MIT-KIT Annual Conference will be held on September 18 & 19 at the MIT Campus (Media Lab).
The two days will focus on the following:
- Sept 18th: Social Machines building Logistics Networks: Understanding the Supply Chains of Identity, Trust & Data. This year the focus of the conference is on the design, development and deployment of "logistical networks" that function as hybrid social-technical social machines commonly called “supply chains” as both a metaphor and a model for future social machines. Centralized and distributed architectures play a crucial role in creating this future supply chain of identity, trust and personal & big data.
- Sept 19th: OpenID-Connect Day on RESTful Services in Healthcare. This one-day meeting will explore the technical issues related to patient data sharing using emerging technologies, such as the OpenID-Connect protocol for identity management and the User Managed Access protocol for patient consent-management.
